UPDATE ON THE 2012 MUDGEE SHOW

What a great year to be planning a show!

The program is filling up so fast and the show is going to be huge!
It’s exciting that we have so many new buildings to take advantage of; that will also help to guarantee a fantastic show.

To kick it off, there's the full points rodeo on Friday night. It's so big, we've even had to include separate pages in the schedule. Like last year, it will be held in the new sand arena, with the bar close by! Essential Energy, our generous sponsors, and the organisers, have a great event ready for you. The number of world renowned cowboys and cowgirls who will be in attendance is overwhelming!

Main Arena activities will include the Ute Muster, Sheep Dog Demonstrations, the Ute Yank, Wool Bale Rolling, and inspirational performances by local dance schools: REPS, Dance Unlimited and Dance with Attitude.

Around the showground you will find a bigger-than-ever number of commercial trade space exhibitors and showbag stalls, as well as special shows by Wildlife Kingdom and the Australian Reptiles Display team.

The kids will be involved in Junior Judging and the Junior Paraders and their families can also enjoy the animal nursery. Why not bring your family pet along for the Pet Show?

The Mudgee 4X4 Club will be holding a vehicle Tug-O-War; The Cudgegong Cruisers will put a great display of vehicles together as well as a display from the Gulgong Pioneer & Vintage Motorcycle Club.

For a wonderful atmosphere and a relax don’t miss The Alluvials performing near the Mudgee Junior Rugby League catering stand.

And of course, there's Sideshow Alley!

BILLY CART DERBY
OK, it’s time to get Dad organised to build that Billy Cart you have always dreamed of.

This year we announce the introduction of the Ron Menchin Memorial Trophy for the winning Billy Cart in memory of our patron, Ron Menchin, who was the founder of the Billy Cart Derby many years ago.

There is also a CASH PRIZE for the winner!

WILDLIFE KINGDOM
AS SEEN ON THE KERRI-ANNE SHOW <view on You Tube>
Wildlife Kingdom is a business dedicated to educating the public about wildlife and conservation through exciting and interactive displays and presentations. Robert and Belinda have collectively over 25 years experience within the exotic animal industry worldwide and have both held supervisory positions in large animal establishments here in Australia.

Wildlife Kingdom is a one of a kind mobile animal business featuring some of the world’s most fascinating and spectacular creatures. Featured at this year’s show are the “Large Macaws of South America” display. These giant parrots, native to South America, are known universally for their spectacular colours and size. Diego, a 2 yr old Green-winged Macaw, and Jose the 1 yr old Blue & Gold Macaw, were bred here in Australia and are wonderful ambassadors for their species, highlighting the plight of endangered animals all over the world. Wildlife Kingdom acquired these birds as young fledglings and have spent many hours training and conditioning them for public presentations and interactive experiences.

A limited number of guests at the show are given the opportunity to get up close and personal with these magnificent macaws with a photo souvenir to take home.

Yes, there's certainly plenty to do that won't cost you a pay packet, so come along with the whole family and enjoy all there is to offer at the 2012 Mudgee Show.

SEE YOU AT THE SHOW!
